Copper Neti Pot
In yogic lifestyle, neti pots are used daily for nasal irrigation and cleansing of the sinuses. Keeping the airways clear is essential for yoga practice and Pranayama. Copper infuses the water with consciousness. The nasal passage is the doorway to the mind, and thus regular cleansing brings mental clarity.
It is a small teapot-like vessel, usually made of copper, with a long spout for easing the flow of liquid. The user tilts the pot to one side and pours a saline solution, typically a mixture of salt and water, into one nostril. The solution runs through the nasal cavity and out the other nostril, helping to flush out dust, pollen, and other irritants. It is also believed to help clear congested sinuses and aid in the relief of allergies, colds, and the flu.
